There were some significant challenges and lessons learned in 2024 while managing uni, work, and rugby. However, I am feeling much better equipped to tackle this balance better in 2025. All that's left now is to execute the new plan well.

Although my studies were neglected last year - with the majority of my time and energy being funneled into rugby and work - I kept trying my best and persisted in implementing the lessons learned along the way. So the new plan, is the old plan. Except now I feel comfortable to say that I can handle the balance much better as I continue with work, uni and rugby this year in 2025.

...Much easier said than done, but I am excited to see how things go!

Last year I started to familiarize myself with a strategy in making sure I tracked all the hours spent in each area of my life. Some people may think this is obsessive, but for me it helped me figure out my optimal calendar routine, understand my priorities and how to shift them if necessary.

Circumstances in life changed towards the end of 2024 which threw the balance slightly. However, that experience taught me how to manage my time and energy.

Since this article is being published towards the end of March 2025, stay tuned for a follow up on how things have been going so far this year.
